Though the “San Francisco Chronicle” has been a painfully bad newspaper for decades, there have usually been a few reasons to read it. For the last ten years, Don Asmussen, “The Bad Reporter,” is one of those reasons. He takes non sequiturs further than I’ve ever seen them go, and he’s almost invariably brilliant.
