Future historians will almost certainly regard the failure of the
United States to lead in global environmental policy as an even greater
mistake than the invasion of Iraq.
So says Ken Rogoff in the distinguished Foreign Policy journal, on his way to calling for a big gas tax — no less than two dollars. Funny how what was considered unthinkable just two years ago (before Katrina) has become a consensus position among many, many economists assembled by Greg Mankiw in the Pigou Club.
Speaking of changes in the wind…
I need your help now…
Tired of waiting for politics and politicians to defeat those who are purposely destroying our planet? What would you do if given the pivotal wisdom required to drive a stake through the heart of these evil bloodsuckers’ hidden power sources? Would you complain because it’s not your “thing” or would you show some courage and do what is right for the sake of all life, regardless of your personal desires and most cherished opinions?
Use this special “gift” (rosenrot…) wisely…
Peace…
