Very nice. I was part of that reading group on the internet for the Pynchon 1,000+ opus, “Against The Day,” where Lake Baikul was a major geographic character, and one I’d never heard of before, never knowing that the largest inland lake in the world was in Siberia over Mongolia, and filled with all kinds of mystical reverbations. I’ve been enchanted every time it appears in pubic consciousness ever since.
